Scarborough & District Chamber of Trade Commerce is a member-led organisation dedicated to supporting businesses in the Scarborough area.

Our members represent a unique cross section of the Scarborough business community, each bringing their own expertise. They range from large corporate organisations and established firms to smaller independent traders and businesses that are just starting up.

The Chamber encourages support and networking amongst businesses and professional men and women.

There are regular monthly meetings giving you the opportunity to meet with like-minded businesses in an informal setting to discuss local issues and the new developments within Scarborough and its surrounding areas.

Brief History of Scarborough Chamber of Trade

Scarborough & District Chamber of Trade & Commerce was established in 1933 and is the town’s leading independent business organisation.

The Chamber gives local businesses a voice in local affairs; it is consulted on a wide range of issues and represents the views of the business community on these.

The Chamber both promotes and protects members’ interests and the monthly newsletter keeps all members up to date.

Over the years the Chamber has been involved in many exciting projects that have helped improve and promote our wonderful town. These have included:

STAGE 1: FRIDAY 28 APRIL 2017: BRIDLINGTON TO SCARBOROUGH Total stage length: 173km 3 King of the Mountain Climbs: Garrowby Hill, Goathland & Robin Hood's Bay 2 Sprints: Pocklington & Whitby Abbey Total ascent: 1,940m Stage One gets underway outside Bridlington Spa and heads into Pocklington for the first intermediate sprint. The classified climbs up the Côte de Garrowby Hill and Côte de Goathland will get the legs pumping before the race hits the coastline again at Whitby, and the riders will get a great view of the Abbey as they contest the second sprint of the day. The route continues on to Robin Hood’s Bay for the third and final climb and then it’s full steam into Scarborough for the now-legendary finish along North Bay. letour.yorkshire.com/

Literature Exchange Workshop

Discover Yorkshire Coast Tourism Services, Scarborough Hospitality Association and Scarborough Chamber of Trade would like to invite you to their first joint Discover Yorkshire Coast Literature Exchange Workshop 2017. The workshop will give you an excellent opportunity to meet with accommodation providers and gather current literature from tourist attractions, shops and tourism associations in the area such as Discover Yorkshire Coast who will be exhibiting and distributing their latest literature (32 confirmed exhibitors so far).
