Alibaabaas The Wool Shop began trading on April 17th 2014 and is Scarborough’s only dedicated yarn shop.
The business offers a great range of yarns and accessories, from synthetics to pure wools and cotton by leading brands including Sirdar, King Cole, Bergere de France and Debbie Bliss.
Local yarn crafters can enjoy regular ‘Knit n’ Natter’ sessions at the shop where they can receive help with their projects or just socialise with other crafters.
Alibaabaas came about after proprietor Catherine Duffin, a keen knitter from the age of six, received free help and business advice from the Yorkshire Coast Business Gateway.
Catherine is proud to be a part of Scarborough’s independent business community and would urge others to take advantage of the start up business advice available to them.
