Attractions and venues on the Yorkshire coast and North York Moors are set to get a promotional boost next month at a special event to highlight the very best of what’s on and what to do in the area this year.

On Tuesday 20th March Scarborough Borough Council’s tourism team, Discover Yorkshire Coast, will join forces with Scarborough Hospitality Association and Scarborough Chamber of Trade and Commerce to host their second joint Literature Exchange.

The event will give accommodation providers a special opportunity to meet those behind local attractions and tourism services to get information on their plans for visitors throughout 2018. Those attending the event can collect literature, which they can share with their guests to help cross promote the area and the exciting attractions and events on offer.

The workshop will take place against a backdrop of a magnificent working collection of vintage cars, steam engines, vintage fairground rides and mechanical organs at Scarborough Fair Collection in the grounds of Flower of May Holiday Park, situated off the A165 between Scarborough and Filey.

Those wanting to exhibit at the event should email info@scarboroughhospitality.co.uk for a booking form.

Anyone wanting to attend the event to learn more about what the Yorkshire Coast and North York Moors have to offer can reserve a free ticket at eventbrite.co.uk by searching under Literature Exchange Workshop, Scarborough.

Shirley Smith, President of the Scarborough Hospitality Association said:

“There’s a lot to see and do locally and many hidden gems, none the least, the Scarborough Fair Collection where we are holding the event. This leaflet exchange is intended to be more convenient for both local attractions and accommodation providers. They can come along pick up promotional literature, swap ideas and meet with people they might not otherwise get a chance to know.”

Tony Stevens, Vice Chairman, Scarborough Chamber of Trade & Commerce, added:

“As part of a commitment to support local businesses, Scarborough Chamber of Trade & Commerce is delighted to be working with the Discover Yorkshire Coast team and Scarborough Hospitality Association on this exciting event. It is an ideal opportunity for local attractions and businesses to showcase their products to those who are directly associated with local tourism.”
